Training for Young Dancers
Kyiv has trained children since its inception in the 1930's. In 1994, the "school" was formally instituted. Kyiv believes in providing professional, quality training in the art of Ukrainian Folk Dance to any child of any ethnic background and ability.
The school accepts children between the ages of 3 - 14.
How does it work?
Classes take place Monday evenings. Children are placed in classes by age and dance ability. Classes may adjust based on enrollment. The last Monday of each month Beginner 3 and Intermediate Classes will extend by 15-30 minutes for specialized girl and boy technique classes.
Our current classes are:
- Music & Movement - ages 3-4 6:00-6:30pm
- Beginner 1 - ages 5-6 6:00- 6:45pm
- Beginner 2 - ages 6-7 6:00-6:45pm
- Beginner 3 ages 7-8 6:00-7:00pm
- Intermediate 1 ages 7-9 6:30-7:30pm
- Intermediate 2 ages 9-11 6:45 - 7:45
- Advance 6:00 - 7:30pm
Registering for Class
Students are accepted on a rolling basis from September - June. Registration may happen here. Registration fees are provided in the form and are paid each semester (Fall & Winter/Spring)
